poem: extended moment by guestpoet tani

to all:

the poetry writing is coming slow...so i've asked my friend tani to contribute some of his beautiful works. thank you tani for your contributions! hopefully we'll have a series of these poems presented on the blog. you'll find his first poem below.

just by way of introduction: tani's poems are imagistic, and if i may say so myself--quite zen. a self-contained meditation within each poem...

peace all, and chag sameach!

Extended Moment
by guestpoet Tani

something about the
combination
of the
train’s motion
& this music…
if only these tunnels
were endless
this rumbling train could forever
elude sunrise.

how come no one comments on my poems? Oh well, i guess i'll be the first. I like that one, the only thing is(& this may be blogger's fault) the spacing is all normalized...there should be a bunch of blanks there & stuff, you know, not all right-justified. Yea. Thanks for putting it up!

tani i love your poem!
there. im commenting on it.

it is blogger's fault. i tried to get the blank spaces to fit in--i even tried to write my own html script to indent--and it just kept on right justifying. sorry...its still a beautiful poem.

Its really good, Tani. Has a calming effect as I imagine what you describe.

its a good thing the tunnels arent endless.. eluding sunrise can be good temporarily, when a little peace and quiet is needed to regroup... but eventually its worth coming out into the light.. even if its a little strong on the eyes at first.
very nice guestpoet tani, hope to see you more often :)
